Hi, I have upgraded to fibre last august but I could not get a hold of my free xbox gamepass ultimate. I have tried adding it through but it always says server error.

Try phoning CS 03301234150 who should be able to help. You could try billing https://www.bt.com/help/contact-bt/account-and-billing/broadband
Hi, I have tried both previously, with no luck. this is just so frustrating as the free game pass was part of the reason why I upgraded
You can search the forum as there are numerous posts like yours but unfortunately the forum mods no longer have account access so you need to try CS again

Just to confirm its via the BT website you are trying to activate the Game Pass and not the BT app?
If so and you are unable to add the Game Pass our team should be able to raise webform for your account to help get this resolved.
