Another failed NowTV recording

I was watching the Liverpool match until having to go out at 5.45ish this afternoon. Received a phone call partway through so I paused it for about 2 minutes partway through. Have had lots of failures while recording before, so I took precautions to prevent it to from happening again. Skipped through it to go back to live, then switched channels so as to set it to record.. Have got home now and found that the recording doesn't work, it is showing as 0.00 in length and all I get is a blank screen and silence.  Not a fault I remember having before. I don't know why I'm surprised or disappointed anymore.

I don’t understand why you would have to switch channels rather than simply pressing the Record button on the remote?

When I simply press the record button it never works correctly. I've missed programs in the past because of this. These issues only seem to occur with the NowTV channels. I've come to accept that the underlying software is fundamentally faulty.
