BT 4K UHD box replaced by EE TV Box Pro

Hi, today I’ve received a new EE TV Box Pro to replace my faulty BT 4K UHD box.

Is this EE box better than the BT 4K UHD box?

Thanks

The (Sagemcom) Box Pro (both BT TV Box Pro and EE Box Pro) should give you better performance over the  (Humax)   BT 4k box and apps should be better.

You will have option for IP mode if you wish.

You may find this (EE) documentation useful

I did the same. Nothing much in it. The EE pro box is slightly faster to start up. I found the omission of the square button on the remote to return to live television an irritation.

If I’ve got this right, I believe you can use the remote from the old STB on the Pro Box too. So you’ll have all the missing buttons that inexplicably were removed on the new one!!

Well it worked when I moved from the BT UHD box to the Pro box anyway. Hope it does for you too.

I returned the old kit including the remote.

You can buy a replacement remote on Amazon, under £10, if you prefer to use the one that came with the DTR-T4000.

I have cancelled EE TV as there is no need to record as most programmes are available streamed. Got a Firestick and pay for Netflix. Money saved can pay for council tax hike.

Could not disagree more...a pvr is essential to record a film and skip though the relentless adverts.  Movies and tv in general are unwatchable unless on the beeb.

No way would I subscribe to the overpriced middle man EE though..just bought my two pro boxes privately
