Re: BT TV Pro Box, Amazon Video and Atmos Audio

Hello

Thanks for the Reply.

I am going to see if @DarrenDev can enter this Discussion as he knows about the Apps.

Thanks

Re: BT TV Pro Box, Amazon Video and Atmos Audio

Ok but it's not an app issue.

Re: BT TV Pro Box, Amazon Video and Atmos Audio

Hello

Thanks, however, I Contacted Amazon Prime Video Support and they confirmed that HDMI 2.1 is not required for the App.

I am just trying to cover all bases 🤓

Thanks

Re: BT TV Pro Box, Amazon Video and Atmos Audio

It technically isn't but when you're pushing a lot of data through, you could be hitting a bandwidth limit on the HDMI 2.0 standard but if you want to ignore my suggestion which is based on first hand experience of practically the same issue, that's fine but I'm quite happily watching Good Omens 2 in UHD, in HDR10 with full Atmos uncompressed audio with zero issues so it's clearly not an issue with the Pro Box or Prime app... 👍

Re: BT TV Pro Box, Amazon Video and Atmos Audio

Hello

Thanks for the Reply.

Utilising an HDMI 2.1 Cable on equipment that has HDMI 2.0b will offer no benefits of HDMI 2.1 including the extra Bandwidth.

Thanks

Re: BT TV Pro Box, Amazon Video and Atmos Audio

I cannot offer any advice other than what has been suggested but wanted to say my setup is similar - box connected to a marantz amp - and have no issues receiving Atmos.
