Re: Bt tv schedule

@zulu17 I didn't think about Utilita being auto-corrected to United (by IA, perhaps?). I just thought that maybe the reference to a Premier League event taking place in Newcastle must mean it's at United i.e. thinking it must be a footy match rather than darts (despite being billed as Premier League Darts as opposed to Premier League Football). Either way, it's a sloppy error that really should be getting picked up. Even if it is IA generated in the first place, there should be some form of human oversight and checking by someone with the requisite knowledge before being published.

Re: Bt tv schedule

I had a quick look at next weeks EPG entry for the second  Premier League Darts  Antwerp . the Sky Sports Main Event HD live  (Thursday 12) coverage has a different series CRID to that for tonight’s  event so if you have set a series recording for tonight programming  that will not pick next week program.

so the issues aren’t simply misleading programme descriptions but also the management of the series CRIDS .

It's basically a complete shambles then!

Re: Bt tv schedule

It's basically a complete shambles that EE/BT have known about for months if not years and couldn't care less about fixing.

Re: Bt tv schedule

To a Query of mine on the EE Community Site regarding ongoing EPG/Recording Problems  DarrenDev (the very best Expert) says

"I wish I knew the cause myself @graybag - it's incredibly frustrating for us here too. We're doing all we can to find and point out the errors, and have 2 guys working full time on it, but ultimately we're at the mercy of the supplier - I'm not privy to the explanations they are giving for the errors."

I too suspect AI and lack of Training regarding "obvious " problems ( the under-19 Cricket was described as Formula 1 the other day!).Also a big problem seems to be the need to have a description of forthcoming Events searchable on the EPG a week in advance before the participants in sport are known (TBA) - I'm wondering if  we Schedule those Recordings before "Match Day" and then the Header is  altered to correct details it prevents that Recording as "it" thinks it is a different Program. But it is all guesswork and frustrating.

Re: Bt tv schedule

Most of the  issues seem to be way upstream of the systems that Darren is directly involved in.

Whoever is managing those supplier service levels and agreements within BT Group is the person that should be getting the answers as to why and what the recovery plan  is.

Re: Bt tv schedule

Absolutely right zulu17 and the fact that no one at a senior level has been able to bring about a solution after all this time shows that frankly they don't give a toss.

Re: Bt tv schedule

Yes nobody gives a toss so that's why there's 2 people working full time on it!

Re: Bt tv schedule

I think the resources and priority  that the supplier(s) are committing would be more relevant.
And even more relevant what needs to be done and is there a recovery plan of action to achieve this .

I’m sure that the EETV people  would prefer to working on beneficial upgrades rather that monitoring  long running supplier issues with the EPG.

If you are significantly disadvantaged by the level of service that is being provided  @SteveG2460  I would suggest raising a formal complaint .
