Can’t sign in to bt account via EE TV app on Apple TV

I’m trying to re-sign into my EE TV app on Apple TV 4K box using my bt account details as the app tries to link me to bt.com/device to enter a code, but I get a bt web page saying Sorry page not found.
note, I can use these bt credentials to sign into the EE tv app on my iPad.

anyone know if this issue is being worked on already?

You need to go to https://auth.bt.com/device (you missed the auth bit)

Appreciate the advice, though it is the ee tv app that was linking to bt.com/device - so the app does need correcting……

Anyway I manually opened auth.bt.com/device and signed in ok, and entered the code ok, and the web page said “all done” but the ee tv app on Apple TV gives error code AAU910. See attached 

Yes, it’s true I don’t have an EE TV subscription, and I’m not connected to EE or BT broadband…… but I’m trying to use the Apple TV app to watch the content I have previously purchased, which I can access using the ee tv app on my iPad……(several movies and several tv series), and yes, I think this is the first time I’ve tried using the EE T V app again on my Apple TV since I cancelled all my BT services

but like I said, I can access my EE TV purchased content on my iPad just fine…… so frustrating that it appears the Apple TV app alone is tied to being a current subscriber

I'm afraid the Apple TV app cannot be used in your scenario. It only works for current subscribers.

You can use Airplay from your iPad though - use the EE TV on the iPad and select the Airplay icon in the top right corner to connect to your Apple TV.

Yeah, air play works ok …. I obvs just wanted to use the native app for ‘best performance’ etc
