Re: Deleting on EE Box Pro
It is a mess but a serious question is, why do the idiots at EE want to screw up something that worked? Boys with toys, trying to justify a job or just playing with themselves?

Re: Deleting on EE Box Pro
I don’t think it’s the idiots at EE doing this.
I think somebody in YouView gets a ‘bright’ idea, implements a disaster like Most Watched Subscription Channels, tosses it over to EETV with a cheery “Here you are, your new release. I know nobody asked for it, and if they had wouldn’t have wanted it on that row, but we thought it was cool to write, and much more fun than working down your Wants list”.

Re: Deleting on EE Box Pro
I suspect the official line would be that the “Most watched subscription channels” is a (half hearted) attempt to pacify those who have been wanting a “Favourites” button.
The cynical side of me wouldn’t dare to suggest of course that it’s another way they can feed back more personalised viewing habits to their content providers (and their advertising partners).
(and if it stays) it needs to be BELOW the MYTV line, not above it! 😛

Re: Deleting on EE Box Pro
Of course, the worst thing and I've forgotten to highlight it, all the actions are through the OFF Button, taking multifunction from the sublime to the ridiculous. Could EEFOFF become a rallying call, to end the bad design?

Ooops, worked the joke backwards and got it wrong. Of course, it the multiple OK button that's the evil beast. So, every time you press OK, worry.

Disney will be sponsoring this and providing mouse costumes - the children will be known as Box Minnies….

Re: Deleting on EE Box Pro
My advice would be to have the Confirm Delete in the Box Settings>Recordings>Confirm Delete set to ON.
That at least would require you to do a second remote press to perform the actual deletion.
As for Home page layouts I imagine that getting the Youview stakeholders to agree on layouts would be a diplomatic challenge. Effectively the Youview values/principles of PSB prominance and User Interface Policy lend themselves to a lack of user customisation options .
The "MY MOST Watched Subcribed Channels" - well no-one has explained the criteria - over what time frame ,is it assessed, is it based on total minutes watched , number of time is channel is selected to watch and of course as there is no concept of personal profile as to who in the household is watching so "MY" is probably unnecessary in that carousel title ie MOST Watched Subcribed Channels would be more accurate.
