We are very much enjoying Discovery Plus Olympics coverage. There’s so much simultaneous broadcast of various events. We can watch Discovery Olympic coverage on two iPads simultaneously without problem. However, if we try and watch Discovery Olympic coverage on TV and one iPad simultaneously, we get an error message usually on the TV screen advising us we have exceeded the limit for simultaneous broadcasts. Surely the TV counts as one of my two simultaneous streaming devices? Any advice?
Solved! Go to Solution.
If you are using Discovery+ in the tv then that is one device. An iPad is a second device. A second iPad trying to stream at same time is a third device.
Also, you sometimes need to wait a minute or two after closing one device for the stream count to drop to allow another device.
Thanks for tip! I didn’t know about the time needed for stream count to drop when switching from one device to another - just tried following your advice and it works, TV and iPad streaming simultaneously.
Unfortunately Discovery Plus Uk support site is not as comphensive as their US site which addresses the Too Many streams issue. Given that it is likely that it would be common experience encountered it would be beneficial if EE/BT would encourage their partner to improve the support advice.
