Have you tried restarting your device?
It's a bit of an older box to be honest so it won't be the quickest or could be prone to problems with new apps. Have you considered calling to upgrade to the pro box?

Discovery+ loads in 8 seconds on my DTR-T4000.
So I don’t think the problem is lack of grunt in the T4000.
Try the restart that @Weerab1983 @suggests, or maybe even a Maintenance Mode 2:-

Follow the procedure for 4K Recordable TV box, as this is what your box is known as there.

Thanks rebooting didn't work initially but I turned it off for a good while and when rebooting that time it did the trick
