Duplicate recording of BBC1 channel

Since doing a channel update on my bt box, any recordings I make of programmes   on BBC 1 are being duplicated because it is recording from 2 regions. I have set my main region to BBC Yorkshire/Leeds, but it is also recording EYorks/Lincs even though the reception is chronic. How can I get rid of the Yorks/Lincs channel. It's only only been doing this recently,

Re: Duplicate recording of BBC1 channel

@janda

I take it this is by aerial recording?

Try a soft reset (not a factory reset) on the box:-

https://www.bt.com/help/tv/fix-a-problem/tv-boxes/how-do-i-reset-my-bt-tv-box-

Then try another retune, and see if the issue goes away.

If not, then normally the box shouldn’t make two recordings of the same programme from anywhere, unless it thinks that one of them is incomplete.

So it would be worth comparing the first few minutes of a recording and its duplicate, to see if they start at precisely the same point or not.

If not this, it’s a rare problem, and although it’s happened in the past, the issues causing it were resolved. But maybe you have found a new such issue.

Can you try the above and report back?
