EE TV App on Samsung tablet

I downloaded films from my purchases on the app on my Samsung tablet, when in the UK, to watch abroad. On arriving abroad and opening  the app, they all show as expired. I cannot log in even though I have Internet. I understand that I wouldn't be able to watch live TV abroad but previously have been able to watch downloads Is this now not allowed

Re: EE TV App on Samsung tablet

How long ago did you download them? The app needs to come online at least once every 30 days to reconfirm that you're entitled to the downloaded assets.
We do have a major system fault at the moment which is preventing our apps from being logged into - this is caused by a major failure on Microsoft servers which they're working on. This shouldn't affect downloads though.

EE TV App

Downloaded some purchased films to Samsung tablet on EE TV app in UK before going on holiday to Rhodes. When I open the app abroad in Rhodes the downloads state expired? Why?

The screen states renew if required but when I click on it takes me to a page asking if I have BT or EE broadband. Click BT but then get nothing. I understand I cannot get live tv abroad but surely should be able to watch a download of films already purchased and downloaded in UK. Please advise

Re: EE TV App on Samsung tablet

I can log into the EE TV app on my tablet in Rhodes. I can see the films in the app that I downloaded in the UK last week but all 4 have the word expired against them . They were purchased films not rented. I was logged onto the app last week on the same device to download them ready to watch whilst away. My question is why would they expire ? The app states I need to click renew if still required. When I do that it states unable as not in the UK.

Why would they expire? Is it because the system knows we've gone abroad? This never used to be the case, have the terms and conditions changed since it became EE TV rather than BT TV?

It would be good to get an answer

Please send me an email with your account number at tv.apps@ee.co.uk and I'll investigate when I'm back in the office tomorrow.
