So anybody not having this problem, if they are in Aerial Mode, like me, that’s probably why they don’t see it,
A slightly different manifestation of the same problem on a T2100. If I use the skip 30s button, randomly it kills the sound on the box - which can only be restored through a power cycle.
Ive got a second, spare, box and, after swapping them, the fault exists on the second box. That was after a full factory reset on the spare box (it had been in the attic for a year or two).
I’ve not noticed any issue yet with the fast play button. Just the skip. Though possibly I haven’t used it enough.

Try a Maintenance Mode - Keep Recordings on one or both, and see if this improves matters:-

Use the relevant instructions for your particular box model in each case.
Done that. In fact the second box had a full factory reset.
I'm using IP mode and have never experienced not being able to FF during a recording (except for the recent bar on ad skipping on ITV channels).
It's worth a reset in Maintenance Mode (Keep Recordings) if you haven't already done so
@gomezz sadly, on my T2100, when the sound system fails, nothing but a power cycle will restore it. This has been happening for only a few weeks. Last night it happened twice in one programme. So I resorted to using the fast-play buttons rather than the skip 30s button. I had no issues whilst doing that.
