My youview box loses sound about once an hour. It happens when I am playing a recording, there is no sound.
Sometimes, after a while, the screen goes blank.
The only solution is to restart the box, which is a pain, having to do it there times every evening.
Any clues to what it might be?
(It started happening when I got a new tv ).
Have you tried power cycling the TV instead of the YouView box when this happens?
We have to figure what’s letting go of what.
Try a different HDMI cable if you can; and certainly make sure it is firmly seated at both ends, even if you just have the existing one.
It would also be useful to know what model of YouView box, what make and model of TV, and which HDMI input the YouView box is plugged into.
