Re: EETV

The light on my box was blue before, is blue now and the email says it will be blue in the future. When am I supposed to have had the aqua coloured light? 😕

Re: EETV

Mine was blue, is now aqua, and, I guess, will be blue again after 15th Oct. But since aqua is merely a shade of blue ... 😊

Re: EETV

I did check and aqua is a shade of green not blue.

Re: EETV

Aqua is exactly half way between green and blue - so it's both/neither, depending on how you look at it.

I assume you're referring to your G5 though @gomezz (Recordable Box 4K) which has always been blue. You're long overdue an upgrade, which I'm pretty sure you can get for free.

Re: EETV

My wife would probably agree with you - it's one of those sort of things. Aqua sits exactly mid way between blue and green. On an RGB scale:

  • Blue is 0,0,255
  • Green is 0,255,0 and
  • Aqua is 0,255,255

Thus:

It is entirely up to the observer to decide whether Aqua is a blueish green or a greenish blue ... 😁

Re: EETV

@DarrenDev  I regularly watch Apple TV through the BT Pro box. Just had an email saying apart from the brand changing there’s no difference to what I can do now. There’s mention that the EETV app will not be available on Apple devices. But nothing about the Apple TV app no longer being available on BT TV.. Will I still be able to watch Apple TV come the changeover?

Re: EETV

Yes @pddco - no change there.  The Apple TV app will continue to be available for both BT TV and EE TV customers on the TV Box Pro and TV Box Edge.

Re: EETV

The BT TV Box Pro I use matched the photos of the original announcement and the reviews, and also the the colour mentioned in the user guide i.e. purple.
My understanding was the purple used was to complement colour #5514b4 (RGB 85,20,180).

I suppose that could be classified as a "blue", but "purple" is quite well known as a colour description that I wouldn't call it "blue" instead of using the word "purple".

My understanding is that the EE aqua colour is #00a0d6, which RGB wise is 0,160,214, and the EE front colour light was to complement that.
That I can understand as being called "blue" with some saying otherwise.

🤣Who was it that said never in the field of broadcasting has so much been wasted on the colour, ignored by many but important to so few?

My box can flash the colours of the rainbow as far as I'm concerned, but more importantly is the lack of direction of the two businesses. 🎵 Any way the wind blows ....

Re: EETV

Be good on the 15th if would flash all different sorts of blues (apart from the very dark ones) until it finally settles on one for the "switched on" mode indicator.
