When watching hdr content on apple tv it's not showing in hdr .also amazon prime is not showing dolby atmos
I assume you mean when watching the Apple TV app on the EETV Box Pro?
As far as I know the box will always output DD+ when in surround mode, in normal Stereo mode it will be just that. My Amp will always show DD+ on it regardless of what im watching on the box itself, are you connecting directly to a TV or using a AVR or soundbar etc?
Can you watch HDR content on Netflix or do you have access to the TNT Sport Ultimate HDR channel which just runs a loop all the time, I dont think you need to be subscribed to view that, but it will test if HDR is working. (Channel 465)
Hdr works fine on the box ...I player is fine ...it's Apple tv displaying in sdr
But it says dolby vision .but the youview box don't support that
The Apple TV App on the EETV Box is displaying SDR when HDR content is viewed?
That is correct yes .it's not toggling the hdr at all on apple. Amazon prime is fine and I player
Perhaps something one of the EETV boffins who know more about the boxes needs to answer to whether it is supported on the Apple TV app, EETV Box Pro right?
@DarrenDev do you know how the Apple TV App on EETV should behave, does it support HDR?
Could you please provide the name of a sample programme in Apple TV+ where you'd expect it to show in HDR, and I'll someone to validate expected behaviour @Tomjeffrey20
Pull up the splash screen for Sugar. No need to start it. On my (non-EE) Apple TV box, it briefly flashes up HDR.
On Apple TV on the Pro Box, it doesn’t.
Thanks for testing @Midnight_Voice , I haven’t logged into any apps on my EETV.
If you are talking about the Apple TV app on the Pro Box @Tomjeffrey20 , it doesn’t support HDR.
Prime Video is flaky on many devices, it appears to only offer the best quality on a Fire TV device when you have paid the “no ads” add on.
