Re: LG Magic Remote

On my previous response I did open by confirming that I can indeed display the screen, or BT pro UI clearly showing the single recording I wish to delete. It is simply the LG magic remote that will not provide any means of navigating to the delete function on the recording screen. However, I do not wish to proceed with this query further and thank you for your help

Re: LG Magic Remote

But what happens when you press the key to get the information screen when you have that recording highlighted?

Re: LG Magic Remote

I mentioned previously that when you select the BT box watched recording with the LG magic remote, it does highlight and whilst highlighted, it gives you the opportunity to delete it by pressing the Red ‘Record’ key  which is shown at the bottom of the screen on the BT box pro UI. Whereas if you use the ‘proper’ BT remote it is possible to delete the recording. However, the LG magic remote does not have a record button which will action the delete and no sequence of buttons on the LG magic remote will enable this action. All other features on the LG magic remote are available which allows me to completely control both my LG oled TV (which has SMART features far superior to the BT box pro). I’m sorry I can’t make this any clearer. You would have to have an LG oled TV, LG  magic remote and BT box pro in front of of you to see what I mean. I can’t explain more I’m afraid both thanks for your help

Re: LG Magic Remote

Still not answered the question about the vital missing step. I think that light bulb moment for you is not going to happen.

Re: LG Magic Remote

Hi. I am not at all clear on how I have missed your point about the vital missing step. I can see the recording on the screen. I can highlight the recording and at that point the red R button appears at the bottom of the screen which , if you were using the BT remote,  would simply mean pressing this button to delete the recording. I am not using the BT remote and the LG magic remote will highlight the recording, play it if I wished to watch but, there is no record button or function on the LG magic remote which will in any way both highlight a single recording and allow any form of navigation to delete it. Note that I am not talking about grouped recordings which is something completely different and which can easily be deleted using the LG magic remote. I cannot understand what point you are making that I think you are suggesting I am not understanding. Are you familiar with with the latest LG magic remote which? Anyway thanks for your help but please don’t go to any more trouble

Re: LG Magic Remote

The missing point is when you have highlighted the recording to press the button that brings up the information about the recording. You said earlier that while the remote does not have an (i) button that pressing the centre button does this.

Re: LG Magic Remote

I think I did say that the LG magic remote centre button does bring up information about the program. Unfortunately it does not provide the option to delete the recording along with the information it does highlight . It is the only thing that the LG magic remote centre does not do. Otherwise it is extremely clever and can fully operate both the LG Oled TV and the BT box pro. It is very peculiar that the option to delete grouped recordings individually can easily be done but not a recorded program that is not part of a series. I shall simply leave individually recorded programs on the BTbox pro and delete them periodically. This will allow me to use the LG magic remote. Thanks again for your help
