New BT TV BOX PRO

I have just changed from the BT You View Box to the BT TV BOX PRO. On the You View box you could record 2 programs and watch a third. The new TV  Box Pro  allows record of 2 programs, but NOT to watch a third.

Is this correct? If yes, does anyone know why BT have removed this option?

The Pro Box has 2 physical tuners and 2 virtual ones. So if you're running in aerial mode, you can record two Freeview channels, 1 streamed channel watch another streamed channel etc but if you're running in Internet mode for terrestrial channel delivery, then you can only use the two virtual tuners and are limited to recording either 2 channels and watching a recording or streaming from an app or recording 1 and watching another.

Presumably you selected the option to receive Freeview channels by internet delivery which does warn you that you will only be able to record two channels.

If you want to record up to 4 channels and have a TV aerial, then factory reset the box and repeat the setup process with the aerial plugged into the BT box and select 'From Aerial' when prompted to select a delivery method for Freeview
