Re: New BT TV Pro update

Assuming there is to be an update for the introduction of the advert skipping on ITV, will myself and others here who are stuck on a older software due to being trialists get updated to the latest version or still be on the older software version..

I'm told the final tranche of updates is due Monday - not sure if that's overnight tonight, or overnight tomorrow. So you'll not be behind for much longer.

Re: New BT TV Pro update

I just updated my Pro Box to 4.1.104/0.9.4. Hopefully the other trialists are up-to-date now as well.

@Weerab1983 I had to check for update with mine. Maybe give yours a day or two?

Re: New BT TV Pro update

hi @Weerab1983 thanks for reporting.

We have hosted the latest builds for the TV Box Pro and Mini Box today so these should update overnight for customers with boxes in SMART or Energy Saver power modes (ALWAYS_ON will update within a few days)

Box Type
Build version
TV Box Pro   0.9.4
TV Box Mini 0.5.68

These builds also include a fix for TV Box Pro customers who had reported blank EPGs during service updates from ETV where some boxes failed to process the changes without a box restart, together with resulting recording failures where a service was incorrectly marked as NOT_AVAILABLE - we're aware of further LCN changes scheduled for 22nd November and 12th December where we'll be checking that's working as expected.

Cheers

David

@DarrenDev  Got the new update but it hasn't fixed the problem of not loading the channel I'm on . The message regarding there's a problem with BBC NEWS HD check router etc with IPC 6023.The only way to get it to work was go into BBCI Player and back out and then BBC NEWS HD started.

Re: New BT TV Pro update

hi @Bluemoon1  looking at your TV Box, it looks to be in a YouView Trials Uplift group so not getting the rule to update to 0.9.4. It's also connected by Wi-Fi but reporting wired data which is unexpected.

Might be an idea to factory reset if convenient to get things back to default settings and clear out any old connection details.

Also if you have a cable still connected to the yellow ethernet socket at the back of the box, please remove the cable as it may be causing some issues when requesting the channel joins.

Let us know how that goes - we can open up a ticket if any more investigation is needed.

thanks

David

Re: New BT TV Pro update

@David_H   I have checked and the box is wired connection, settings say it's a wired connection ,no idea why it states otherwise,  yes I was in a trial group,  I cannot do a reset as when I remove power cable and holding reset button and plug power lead back in the box doesn't come back to life without pressing power button on the front... Then the picture on whichever channel it's on freezes and I get IPC6023 message. Remote doesn't do anything except press home button go into iplayer and back.. But if I turn the  box on from stand by it works
