I have the same problem with the record button not working
ive replaced batteries
done a factory reset saving recordings
Have 75% free disc space
never had this happen before
I loathe to do a factory reset losing all recordings
all other buttons work fine 🤷♂️
any other suggestions please?

First, try resetting your remote, to get back the record button functionality;-

If that does not work, then get the BT TV app, on a phone or tablet, follow the instructions to pair it with your YouView box, and then try recording via the app.
This will tell you if the whole recording functionality is on the fritz or not.
Try playing bits of some of your recordings, if they won’t play either, then the whole record/replay functionality is on the fritz, and a factory reset losing all recordings will be your only chance of rescuing the box 😢

batteries have been replaced
remote working fine otherwise
I set up for a recording via the app but it didn’t record
I can play my recordings saved 👍🏻
I think the issue is the box itself 🤔

Does the problem affect recordings made on any channel and are these new bookings or using specific series linked episodes?
