Our YouView set-top box took a Software update yesterday, and now pressing the Record button on the remote causes the box to shut down and require re-booting.
Is this a common error? What's the fix?

Sorry that your BT TV box is not working correctly with the remote control since you last updated the software.
Are you still experiencing this problem?
If yes then try a Reset of your Remote Control and see if that resolves the fault.

Thanks for the response. I tried the reset, but it didn't work. The blue light didn't flash when the AD, SUBandPower buttons were depressed. The remote however did stop working entirely!
It was actually the remote that came with the previous Set-Up box, so I got the new remote out that was shipped with the current Set-Top.
This has the same issue with the Record button crashing the system, so it's not a problem with the Remote itself. Interestingly the new remote also doesn't reset in the way the guide suggests it should. Luckily it didn't stop it working at all when I tried it though.
What else can I try to fix the problem?
