Switching TV packs - 24 month contract?

I was looking at switching my TV pack, but they all say they come with a 24 month contract?  I thought you could change as often as you wanted every 30 days?

You are told before you confirm that it doesn't extend your 24 month contract, providing you are in one of the newer packages e.g. since BT started using Now instead of the legacy premium TV contracts.
