Clutching at straws, 🌾, does toggling these boxes between stereo and surround make any difference here?

This is happening to me. And I don't record very much and I think that maybe it's only happened for me on Sky Arts. Maybe also once on Dave.  So does that tie in?

@Dumpster ...

Both Channels you mention are on COM5 - so likely to see the Skip & Power Down problem

My last crash while recording Film4+1 (a Mux COM5 channel). I have two partial recordings, playing one causes an immediate crash, playing the second and watching to the next to the ad break and jumping through it causes another crash.

Changing display resolution (720p, 1080p) or sound (Stereo, Surround) settings makes no difference. I can repeat the crash by playing either of the  two recordings.

When /  Where can the Status of a fix for this issue with COM5 DTTs be viewed ... ?

Now that the old Youview Support site is gone, I cant find anywhere to list YV Fix status and/or current S/W versions  by Humax (or any) Boxes ?

Any help appreciated ....

@speedtrip

Software Information on YouView boxes has always bordered on the pointless. Of marginal value with Trials versions perhaps, but for regular users, essentially useless.

YouView never did proper changelogs, so information about what was in any given release was hit and miss, and it never told you when the last release was, only the last time it had looked for one.

And as you can’t stop YouView from updating you when it wants to (even if you turn it off at the wall every night, it will still update after a week when it’s turned on again) then either you’ve got the latest version that you can get, or your box is broken, in which case lots of other things wouldn’t work.

In the dear dead YouView days when you knew there was a latest release, and these were phased in over several weeks, it was useful to know the new release number to see if you had it or not.

But with EETV, no announcements, you are flying blind 😢

On my T4000, I’ve got 3.8.250 (fb6194) /32.159.0/4904 (d586f305)/7214

That any good to you?

Thanks - yes that matches my T4000 #3 .... was actually interested in if & how new Fixes are announced & the s/w Release # that they are delivered in ?

This COM5 Power Down fault for example -- rather than have to try & see if its 'gone' ...

As far as I can see, EETV, both BT and EE, have no mechanism for formally announcing new releases, and what is in them.

i thought YouView were pretty dire at this, but EETV has effortlessly hit a new low 😢
