TV can’t update apps and now apps not working

I have a Sony TV with a BT box and in the last few months the apps have become unbearably slow and often kick us off when we are searching and using them. It is all the apps, none in particular. When trying to update the apps it says we can’t but doesn’t say an error code or why. Could anyone help?

What model box do you have? And do you have a BT TV subscription?

It's possible that if it's an first generation model, the technology in the box is outdated and can't support the latest versions of the apps. If you have an active BT TV subscription, report it as a fault and they'll replace it with a newer model.

If you don't have a BT TV subscription and you own the box, there's not really anything you can do other than buy a new box as technology becomes obsolete over time.
