Trying to add BT Tv to my package, does not work.

Hi,

I have a BT broadband account(1gig) and I am fully paid up with no debt, but when I go to add BT Tv to my account, when it reaches the final stage of placing the order online, I get a error message "We can not procced with the order" and that's that, dumped back to the bt site.

Why is this? I have been a custom for over a year, and have paid this month's bill on time. Should I contact BT online or is it possibly a credit-check fail?  I was going for the 30gb a month entertainment package, without home install.

There is no such thing as BT tv. About 18 months ago it became EE tv.

Try the EE site

Thanks, I've just been on the EE TV website and it appears I need to migrate to EE BB to get their tv box etc, which I am fine with, but will I owe BT money to cover my remaining BB contract, or is there none?

Or is there a way to get EE TV without a EE BB account?

I would try phoning retentions and see what you can negotiate as I think if you want to add TV you will need to start a new contract  08007831401

@AntRWellsYes, you do not need to switch to EE Broadband in order to get EETV.

In fact, I would insist upon it. I did that when I renewed our contract almost a year ago. The CEO Allison Kirkby was reported in the press over the weekend as saying that the BT brand will be reprieved for residential customers. Tell them that when they try and tell you that everyone’s going to have to switch over to EE.

Re: Trying to add BT Tv to my package, does not work.

BT were offering migration to EE effectively for ‘free’ if done the correct way , if you don’t use the correct method you could be seen as simply leaving BT , and the fact it’s to EE a sister company is irrelevant, it may as well be Sky or Vodafone for example,  with  automatic early termination charges applied , so make sure you do it through BT , if you want to switch to EE so you can get EETV

@AntRWells

Skipping over the misinformation so far in this thread, which I think has all now been corrected, what’s a 30gb Entertainment package?

That wouldn’t be defined in terms of a data rate, which applies to broadband; so are you accidentally trying to change your broadband package as well, which you don’t intend to be?
