I’ve had this problem a few times now but when you go to either rewind or fast forward, it pauses the image and the little ‘x2’ pops up, it’ll let you click to x6, x30 etc but the actual programme does nothing. Doesn’t crash anything, you can just press play again without an issue. But forward or backwards wind is essentially the pause button. I’ve tried restarting, stopping other recording etc but no luck. Is there anything I can do? Really irritating when you record the F1 qualifying but have to sit through the first hour of waffle before the actual quali starts because you can’t forward wind it!
This is now happening to every single recording as an update! Can’t rewind or forward anything recorded
While not recording nor about to, touch the On/Standby button on the YouView box for just over 8 seconds, until it soft reboots.
You won’t lose anything, except maybe this problem.
If it doesn’t work, please let us know the model of YouView box involved; the above advice is applicable to all of them, but more explicit advice may not be.
The default assumption these days is Pro box, but we need to be sure.
If you cannot forward wind you may still be able to jump through your recording by pressing numbers on your Remote- each number takes you to a tenth of the way through Recording so if you have 3 hours, say,of F1 press 3 and you should jump to nearly an hour after start.

@Tom030792 follow the advice given by @Midnight_Voice above.
If you still have the issue then it may be necessary to perform a maintenance mode (preserving recordings) reset but hopefully that will not be required.
For your recordings it should be possible to skip forward or back at various speeds , to jump forward 60 seconds or backwards 15 secords or to move to any of 10 points in the recording (start/10%/20% etc).
For the older (Humax BT) box remotes have separate buttons for the skip and jump , for the Box Pro the same button is used for the skip and jump ( a normal press for skip and a longer hold for jump).
If you still have the problem it would be helpful to know if the jump is also impacted.
