Well, just had a phone call back from the EE team in Newcastle who have been working on this problem.  They apparently have struggled  but it now seems to be sorted!

Not sure I really understand but it was some kind of issue with how the various packages were built.  Apparently mine had started with the Sports HD and the Entertainment was added on and that did not allow the HD boost to give us the Sky News HD without being charged twice for the HD.  Sounds a bit weird, they thought it might have worked if it had been built the other way around?  They are investigating how the packages get combined in case it happens to someone else.

It might also have been more complicated because I am on the BT Pro Box Trial but not sure about that either.

Anyway, its been fixed!

One curosity you mention that  you was on the BT Big Entertainment Max package with HD add on.

Whilst there is a Big Entertainment package and there was a legacy Entertainment Max paackage I don't think there was a Big Entertainment Max package.

Sorry, I may not have explained it very well in all the confusion over various packages!   That is what I have written down at the beginning of trying to sort it all out.

It didn't help that there is a Full Works broadband package and that is apparently nothing to do with the Full Works channels package.
