What’s the difference between adding Now Cinema to Entertainment, and going up to Big Entertainment?

I want Now Cinema, and I seem to have the choice of just adding it, or changing my package.

Just adding it seems to be a penny a month cheaper (😛) and won’t disturb my current Entertainment offer, which changing package might, and maybe going to Big Entertainment might not be as flexible.

There must be some merit in Big Entertainment, I suppose. But what is it, as I can’t see it?

Same, unless paramount plus was added to big entertainment at some point.

Differences in Netflix and Discovery (+) features maybe?

@Weerab1983

Ah yes, Paramount Plus, the channel that ought to be renamed TBC 😛

Nothing to indicate that is the case, though.

There will be difference between these options. Mainly just comes from a pricing point of view.

@Manatarms84

Thanks, that’s exactly what I’m looking for. Can you tell me what those differences are?

Re: What’s the difference between adding Now Cinema to Entertainment, and going up to Big Entertainm

Pricing will depend on the offers you get with BT or a special offer on big entertainment normally it's less expensive to bundle it.

It gives you flexibility the other way so when you drop the movies off (for instance) you don't loose discount you had on the entertainment

Re: What’s the difference between adding Now Cinema to Entertainment, and going up to Big Entertainm

@Midnight_Voice normally under BT t&Cs if you opt to flex from Entertainment  to Big Entertainment  you would pay the standard  price for BIG Entertainment.  (Although BT may offer a different  price but accepting that offer would normally start a fresh 24 month TV package).

From a billing perspective you would I believe you would  see a pro-rata refund of the Entertainment  monthly  charge and a pro-rata charge for the BIg Entertainment

Adding NOW Cinema as a TV addon to your package would be 30 day rolling contract. So monthly  charge for the addon  added to monthly  TV pack charge ( but dates when charge applied  will differ.)

This is my understanding. EE TV provided with EE broadband may have different approach.

@zulu17 @Manatarms84

Yes, this is one of the things I’ve come across. So with an existing discount on Entertainment, adding Cinema by going to Big Entertainment might lose me that discount, whereas just adding Now Cinema won’t.

OTOH, ringing up to go to Big Entertainment might get me an even bigger discount 😛

Re EETV from EE rather than BT, this ‘same company’ isn’t doing itself any favours at the moment; a free Box Mini from EE, chargeable from BT; 6 month’s Apple TV from EE, only three months from BT.

i do not think it a good strategy to muddy the waters like this; there’s quite enough confusion as it is 😢
