Interesting with the Apple TV, from the point of view in a tie in with Apple, always thought they remained solo. Apple get into more homes as well. Their 4k delivery is excellent and latest 4k boxes are matter and thread enabled. So, if my film library is accessible form the EE/ATV 4k then my pique is interested for renewal. Get 4k rugby accessible and......
(my existing ATV4k is the 2017 version).
My box at the mo is half and half. Getting there.
wrt ITV X app. BT did announce when ITV X rollout occured onto the BT Humax devices
Initially the ITV app icon displayed in the Featured Apps rail will remain, but will update around 30th November.
I believe ITV were allowed one app in their PSB reserved app position so when they were providing ITV X or some devices and ITV Hub on other devices it made sense to have one ITV app that had that slot rather than choose to have one (of X or Hub) in that slot and one relegated down the list.
As for the FAST streaming channels and other missing features on the ITV X app on the BT Tv Box Pro I am aware of no updates or fault fixes ( i raised several direct with YouView when they were still customer facing) being applied since its release.)
The apple TV app has just appeared on my pro box with today's update
The addition of another app which has 4K content and is included in the box Universal search and where content can be added to the box watchlist is welcome.
Definitely a positive having the Apple TV+ app on the Pro box now. It will be interesting to see if the Apple TV+ sub is offered as an add-on or as part of any new packages. Wait and see I guess.
eetv and the apple tv box are available to order from the ee website now
Free multi room etc. nothing for bt users? Can we now transfer over to ee if they are providing tv packages?
Hope this helps - Welcome to EE TV - BT Community.
Apple TV app should now be available and we are offering a free Apple TV 3 month sub for existing BT TV customers from today, while we get the new products and offers ready for anyone wanting to switch to New EE.
It's a bit early to say whether we will or won't get multiroom tv for free with BT as its now all EE TV anyway if your using a BT TV Pro. Not sure what's happening with the older boxes?
Im going to hold off until everything is announced. Judging by other stories I'm not going to jump right in
No free multiroom with BT - it's a good incentive to switch now.
You don't have to jump if you don't want to though - everything stays as it is on BT until you decide to change.
Older boxes (T2xxx and T4xxx) will continue to work, whether you stay with BT or move to EE.
