Youview box Freezing or audio disappears and keeps switching on and off on recordings
Over the past month at least 4 to 5 days a week when going to watch a recording it can lose audio or freeze or keeps switching on and off
Can get it back by turning the power off and waiting a minute or so and then you watch the recording with the audio back or watch a recording where it started playing up. Have reset box but still having problems.
Is this a youview box problem ?

What reset did you do - a Factory Reset in Settings, or something less drastic?

I’d say the box has a hardware fault then, and your best bet is to replace it.
Someone with electronics knowledge got one of these back by replacing a capacitor, and capacitor failures were the bane of the T1000s, but unless you are skilled that way, it’s not a course of action you can take.
I guess you don’t have EETV, but if you do, they will swap your box for a new Box Pro, if you recontract.
Failing that, anything from a T2100 through a T4000 up to a Box Pro is available from eBay, or from CeX if you want the security of a guarantee depending on how much (and if!) you want a replacement.
Today’s orthodoxy is that you don’t need to record any more, right? 😛
