Adding to what @Anonymous asks, what model of YouView box, and what model of Samsung TV?
The Box Pro can record, earlier boxes with DTR- prefixes likewise, but not the Box Mini or its predecessor.
Most smart TVs can record to an HDD in a USB port, but this can be rather limited and unsatisfactory.
