Blocked sender

Go to solution

I find it very frustrating that, unlike before, I am now no longer able to block multiple senders of SPAM  emails at the same time, as has been mentioned in previous posts, the current system only allows me to block one sender at a time. Despite blocking many, many senders I still seem to get a lot of SPAM and having to go through these one at a time is annoying. A previous post about this was shown as "solved" but it hasn't really been solved has it?

However, the thing that is really annoying is that when I go through my SPAM emails (one at a time) I often get messages telling me that quite a few of theSPAM emails in my SPAM folder are already on my blocked sender list. My question is, if they are already on my blocked sender list why have I still received SPAM emails from those senders in my SPAM folder?

Because the addresses are spoofed, you are wasting your time trying to block spammers.

Blocking spam senders is a waste of time. You should just go through the list of emails that you have received as spam and weed out any genuine emails, leaving the spam ones unopened and still in your spam folder then just empty the spam folder en masse by clicking on the trash bin icon that becomes visible if you hover your mouse to the spam folder.

The spam emails that you receive are not coming from the email address that you see and subsequently block.

The spam senders email address is computer generated and is constantly changed and spoofed in order to evade email suppliers spam filters.

The true sender email address will have been "spoofed" so as to make it appear to have come from a genuine/different email address.
