I think we need some more information.
How long are these delays?
Have they just started happening or is this a chronic problem for you?
What happens during a delay - a blank screen or some sort of error message?
Are you inputting your email address (or username) and password as normal - or have you recently changed either of these?
What sort of response are you seeking - whether anyone else has experienced such delays and whether advice can be offered on how to resolve this - or what?

Re: Delays in logging in

Thanks,

I recognise I might be in the wrong forum.

The delays can be up to five minutes. Always had this problem.

During a delay there is no blank screen - just BT advising it is opening.

I have made no change to my email or password, ever.  I use  btinternet as my address , although I also use another system, occasionally,  with no problems.

I would like to have a more speedy response to my logging - in.

Sounds as if my response is rude! What I mean is I'm looking for a speedy login to my emails.

Do you login to BT webmail using www.BT.com and then selecting email? I used to use http://home.bt.com and this sometimes gave me delays in logging in, or even telling me (erroneously) that my username or password were incorrect.
Since using www.BT.com I've not experienced these delays.
Still, I've now started using the email client Thunderbird (free download) and this always gives me instant login and access to my emails

Wow! I've done what you suggest with no delays,

Thanks for your trouble.
