Re: Downloading attachments

Clicking on the attachment name does nothing. It doesn’t download or offer an option to download. Nothing in the folder

Re: Downloading attachments

I have the same problem. Attachments used to download into the Files then suddenly stopped about 6 weeks ago.

I managed to get through to BT yesterday and had a long conversation with a very sympathetic young lady but then I was cut off!

I rang back but of course got someone else so started again from scratch. This time I was advised to download the BT mail app, which I did. I then tried to download an attachment and got the message “download successful “. Hooray 🥳. HOWEVER  the item is not in Files so the advisor went off to ask advice and I got cut off again.
By now I was ready to throw the whole thing out of the window.

Any ideas where my download might have gone, please?

Re: Downloading attachments

Did you look in the download folder where your device normally downloads items into?

Without knowing what device you are using it is not possible to say for certain what the folder will be called but on a Windows computer it will be called "Downloads".

Re: Downloading attachments

Yes, downloads always went into Files on the iPad.
Not any more!
I seem to have downloaded successfully and the thing has been saved but I don’t know where!

Re: Downloading attachments

I know it doesn't help you but its the same for me. I'm on a Windows 10 PC using Google chrome and cannot download attachments anymore. Rubbish facility from BT!

Re: Downloading attachments

I have exactly the same problem re downloading attachments.  It is so frustrating because everything worked perfectly well until a few weeks ago.  BT has been no help whatsoever.  Everything works perfectly well on a laptop and my phone but not on my iPad!  Any help would be gratefully received.

Re: Downloading attachments

Hi

it’s infuriating isn’t it?  However, just recently I’ve found that I can view the attachment and from there I can open it in my Cannon Print app, and then print it!

A but long winded but it works sometimes.

Having said that, I’m in the process of selling a property and have told everyone involved that they’ll have to send everything snail-mail. Saves loads of hassle.
