Hi, I joined Bt 10 years ago, and changed my email address to john doe@btinternet.com , and closed my AOL account and its email address.
However after all this time I have one particular contact, who sends me emails, and gets advised email is “undeliverable” sent from my old AOL address.
I have contacted BT, AOL , Microsoft and Yahoo who all say it is not them who is blocking the email, can any one help please

If your contact is getting told by AOL that his email is undeliverable he must be sending it to your old AOL address.
BT can not send an undeliverable message in the name of AOL.
Get the contact to check that he/she has your correct BT email address and that it is in fact being entered into the email address box. It may be that he/she is just clicking on your name in his contacts address book and the address book is automatically entering your old AOL address.
Contacted BT again after 90 minutes they sorted it thanks, large emails were being diverted to old AOL address, could not explain why
