Forwarding

I can't forward emails all of a sudden.  Anyone else having this problem?  I've done the log out-log in thing and it hasn't resolved the problem.

Re: Forwarding

Hi, I have just discovered I have the same issue.  Did you ever get the problem resolved?  If so, can you share the solution please? Thank you.

Re: Forwarding

Are you a BT Broadband customer and was your BTMail email account set up on that BT Broadband account or are you paying for your email address through a BT Premium email account?

How are you accessing your email account, is it through and email client/app and if so which one or are you using webmail using a web browser?

Are you forwarding each email manually or do you have forwarding set up to automatically forward all your emails?

Re: Forwarding

I am a BT Broadband customer and my BTMail email account was set up on that BT Broadband account.

I access my emails via Mozilla Thunderbird on a laptop and use the gmail app on my andriod phone.  (I had problems receiving emails on my phone over the past couple of weeks due to I believe a gmail issue which has now been fixed).

I was trying to forward an individual email.  That didn't allow me to send it, so I tried others individually and they all failed to send.

Re: Forwarding

Which of your devices were you using to forward the email?

What happened when it "didn't allow me to send it."

Can you forward emails if you log on to your email account using a web browser?

Re: Forwarding

I was using my laptop, so Monzilla Thunderbird.  I have not tried using my phone.

Here is the message which appears when I try and forward an email:

Sending of the message failed.
An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: We're sorry, but we can't send your email. Either the subject matter, a link, or an attachment potentially contains
spam, or phishing or malware. Please check or edit your message and try sending it again. (6-1-3-2) ID (64D1736700AC2B82). Please check the message and try again.

I'm sorry I'm not sure what you mean by your last question.........

The last question was asking if you can log onto your email account using a web browser (webmail), you can do that by clicking on the following link, in order to see if it is just your email app Thunderbird that is causing the problem.

BTMail

I suspect that you will still not be able to forward messages when you do that but try doing it to confirm the problem is still there when using webmail.

Re: Forwarding

Hi, thanks for your rely.

I have used the link you sent and I successfully forwarded a couple of emails a couple of minutes ago.

I then tried on Mozilla Thunderbird and successfully forwarded one from there too, so it looks like whatever issue I had, no longer exists.

Kind regards,

Ian

Re: Forwarding

Hasn't solved my problem though.  All I get from BT is a message saying "An error occurred sending your mail.  Please try later."

I've bypassed the problem by using "Reply" and changing the addressee details, but it's not a fix and I would expect BT to investigate and resolve rather than leaving it to a chat group, wouldn't you?

Re: Forwarding

@Grumblywuth how are you accessing your emails? Are you using an email client/app? Have you tried the previous suggestion to log in to the BT email website to see if emails can be forwarded from there?

Thanks

Neil
