Move bulk emails from BTinternet to Gmail

Moved countries and looking to close the BT internet email account as no longer earn GBP.  Is there an easy way to bulk move emails from BT internet to gmail?

Without them being forwarded as then you lose the sender details

Yes, configure both accounts on a mail client such as Thunderbird or EmClient and simply drag and drop between accounts.
