My inbox only now displays emails dating back to 4 September 2024.

My inbox only now displays emails dating back to 4 September 2024.  However, I can see older emails when I have created personal folders and can see older emails in my "sent" folder.  What can I do to retrieve my older emails and how can I avoid this continuing?

Yes, I unclicked it and I can now see my earlier emails.
