No message preview for Spam

Go to solution

when messages appear in the Spam folder I can hover over the data in the "From" column, identify the sender, and if I decide the message is spam then I can click the check box and use either "Block Sender" or "block domain" under the
"More" drop-down.
However, occasionally I receive messages in Spam where nothing is shown in the "From" column and "No message preview" is shown in brackets after the Subject. Hence I cannot see the sender's address and if I click the check box the "Block Sender" and Block domain" options are greyed out so I cannot prevent any further messages from these sources.

11 of these have just appeared overnight.

How can I identify the senders and  then block them ?

You would need to click on the "More" button on the menu bar and then click on "view source". This will show the senders email address and domain.

Once you know that you will need to then click on your username at the right hand side. Select "Settings" then go to the left hand side and select "Mail". Scroll down and click on "Blocked Senders" and add either the email address or domain to your blocked senders list.

You may find that you are wasting your time doing this because spammers generally change their email addresses and domain more than Labour have changed their manifesto promises.
