Service Maintenance Email - Spam/Scam?

I received this email from************ (sent to********* stating that my email account will be closed unless I reregister via a link in the email. It also contains an eroneous telephone number -(01729) 623 438......  Spam? Scam? Hear soon. TIA

If you have received a suspicious email, could you forward it to our phishing team so they can investigate it please.

The email for our phishing team is phishing@bt.com.
