Suspicious BT email

Go to solution

have received several emails from metrocast.net asking me to click on a link to conform I agree to new terms and conditions for my BT email account or I will lose access to my emails.

I have assumed these are scams but just wanted to check I am right?

Yes they are spam/scam, if it was from BT it would use the @bt.com domain and not metrocast.net

Hi @eyore26 and thanks for posting.

@-Richie- is 100% correct here. The best option would be to ignore and delete them.

Cheers

David

This particular scam is still circulating, I received one yesterday.

I would like to know what BT is doing about blocking this known scam.

It would also be beneficial to recommend that the email is also forwarded to report@phishing.co.uk
