Why do I keep getting logged out of email frequently?

@jamboni Can you clarify please? Are your webmail sessions being terminated randomly? If so, what screen is presnted on the browser? Or are you asking why you have to sign in every time after closing and reopening your browser?

Apparently it's BT logging me out for safety reasons , i.e. not in use.  Very annoying.

@jamboni If you are able to, please try this and post the result back here - it worked for me.

Switch off your router for 30 minutes. When you switch it back on you might get attached to a different BT server (this has been mooted as a solution for other problems I believe). 

Log in to webmail and see what happens, leaving a session inactive if you possibly can.

Of course you'll lose access to your digital voice phone line if you have it, so choose a time that suits you.

Tried that, no change.. I believe, like others, this is a BT policy. Annoying.

I have encountered the problem of email timing out. Today it was timing out whilst I was reading a long email. Very annoying.
