I've had bt.com email address for years. I'm trying to add a new address but can't find any instructions. These directions don't apply. Please can someone direct me?

Notwithstanding you have had an email address for years, are you a BT broadband customer or do you only have Basic Mail?
If the latter, you will be unable to create a new address. If the former, I'm not sure why you would want to tie yourself to another ISP dependent address.
Assuming you are still a BT Broadband customer you should be able to set up a new email address assuming you have not used up the eleven allocated to you.
If you are no longer a BT Broadband customer you will not be able to set up any new BT email accounts.
As regards setting up an email account I have just tried to set up a new email address following the directions you posted and it does work.
At what point does it fail for you?

When I go to "your products" i can't see the email option, maybe I'm being dumb!
If you are using a web browser make sure you are in Desktop version and scroll down the page. The Email manage is at the foot of the page.
I was on browser but can't see what I need. I then tried using BT app and that keeps failing even though I'm following directions.

I have assumed that you set up your present email accounts on your own BT Broadband account and that it was not set up on another person's such as a parents BT Broadband account
If it was on your own broadband account you should call BT Billing 0330.1234.150 and report to them that you do not have the manage email option.
