The secretary of our bowls club has a "btinternet" e:mail account. She regularly posts e:mails to all of our members. Recently her e:mails have been bounced back to her with " 550 spam, or phishing or malware. Please check or edit your message and try sending it again. (6-1-3-2) ID (68635EC4033EE259)". Clearly the receiving mail servers think that she sending spam or phishing. Can anyone advise me how to overcome this please?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Make sure she is sending to no more than 49 recipients at a time and that if she is sending to more than that, ie two batches or more, to leave about 30 minutes between batches.
Don't use links or anything that may be construed as spam in the title.
If she is already doing that tell her to switch off her BT hub for about half an hour and when she switches it back on she will hopefully have been issued a new IP address and connected to a different email server which may clear the issue.
Better still, get her to use a more suitable email service such as Mail Chimp rather than a residential ISP mail service service which is not suited to the purpose.
