I can't connect from the mail app on several devices. Other mail services are ok (Gmail etc) and BT mail via the browser is ok. Is this a general problem today?
Try a different app such as Blue Mail. BT mail app is dire in any case.
I'm using Edison which has been rock solid and is fine for Gmail. I think it's the connection to BT which is failing.
Are you either a BT broadband customer or paying for Premium Mail, if neither your account will have been downgraded to Basic Mail which is only accessible via webmail.

Is the problem with both WiFi and 4G?
It was both... But it's suddenly come back to life (though my wife's phone hasn't). Someone at BT switched the box back on perhaps.
