Re: Can’t send email on iphone

If you are not a BT Broadband customer or paying for your email through a BT Premium email account  your email account will have been downgraded to a BTMail Basic account which can not be used with an email client or app.

Re: Can’t send email on iphone

Ok thanks - the email will not send while I’m on my WiFi.

If I leave the house and am on 4G and I refresh my email then it will send the email from the outbox.

Does that still align with what you are telling me about the type of account I have?

Thanks.

Re: Can’t send email on iphone

If you log onto your MyBT and go to Your Products then Email, manage it will show that the top of the page what type of account you have.

As regards working on 4g. Take that as a bonus at this time but do not be surprised if it stops at some point in the future and because your account should have been downgraded there is little point in trying to ascertain if there is a different problem causing your issue with out checking with BT and when they see you are not a BT Broadband customer they will downgraded  it BTMail Basic if it not already a Basic account.
