Deleting lots of emails Help Please

Go to solution

I have had a nasty phishing experience which has made me just a little paranoid. Obviously, I have changed my password.

On the back of this, I need to delete a large number of emails from a different email account to enhance my security.

I can select them individually (the little square at the LH of each)  and click on a few at a time but I can't work out the key strokes to select a larger range to streamline the task. Please advise?

(I thought holding down the shift key was involved but it doesn't seem to work)

If you want to delete multiple emails try the following.

If you hold down the shift key then tick the box to the left of the first email you want to delete in the list of emails then scroll down using the scroll bar on the right hand side or use the PgDown key and tick the last email you want to delete then release the shift key. It will select all the emails in between. You can then click delete or drag and drop them into the Trash folder.

When selecting the emails keep the number less than 150 at a time.

You can also tick the box in the menu bar above the boxes you have been ticking and that will select all the viisible emails in your list.

Thank you gg30340 that worked a treat, shame the info isn't on the BT 'help' pages.
