Hi
I run a small community group and we've recently found ut that a few users are not getting the newsletters. The thing they seem to have in common is that they are all btinternet.com email addresses. We don't get any bouncebacks saying the mail is blocked, it just gets swallowed up. It's a relatively new (~2 years) gmail address and hasn't been hacked or anything in the past, so it-s hard to see what the issue is. Is there some way of ensuring the address isn't blocked so your customers don't miss out?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You could ask the intended recipients to add the newsletter email address to their "Safe Senders" list.
To do that the need to log onto their BTMail account using a browser, not an email client/app, and then click on their username at the right hand side. Select "Settings" then go to the left hand side and select "Mail". Scroll down and click on "Safe Senders" and add the email address to the list and click "Save"
Try sending that request individually to the recipients and if it doesn't get through it will obviously require you using a different email address to notify them.
If that does not help you could try contacting the BT Postmaster at postmaster@btinternet.com and ask them to white list the email address.
The Postmaster is not know for a fast response so keep emailing until they do reply to you.
Thank you! I think it'll have to be the postmaster because as new people come and go, I would have to keep re-doing the process. Thanks. I wonder how it happened. More than a certain number of recipients in the bcc or something, i suppose. Aggravating!
You might consider using a proper mail distribution system such as Mail Chimp, free for small organisations.
