Email not working via mobile router

Email works fine on my laptop and thunderbird via local wifi in uk and abroad but not with my GLiNet router when travelling. Webmail works but Thunderbird just sits there looking to download but nothing arrives and no error messages. I'm reasonably computer literate but proffered solutions online seem incredibly complicated! Any help much appreciated.

It may be the IP address that the router is using when using the T'bird is being blocked.

To try and work out where the problem lies are you able to use a VPN with a UK server to see if that works or try tethering your laptop using 4/5g on a mobile phone to see if that works.

Also make sure you are using the correct settings as per the following link.

Hi, thanks for reply. It  works fine with all my addresses via my Samsung A16 mobile's hotspot. Currently in France. Just seems it's the router/BT is the problem.
