How to enable Plus addresses in BTInternet

Some email hosts allow the use of + sub-addresses to track where a particular address may have originated from as per -

Is this something that is blanket banned by BT or can I enable a setting to allow it on my email account?
TIA

'Banned' is a strange word to use. 'Not implemented' is more appropriate and accurate.

Re: How to enable Plus addresses in BTInternet

Thanks for the more precise description.

Shame really as it's a very useful feature.

The RFC does say it is optional but it's implemented by Yahoo, Gmail, Apple, Proton and Outlook among others and given that BT used Yahoo Mail for so long I would have thought it would be there.
Is there a features request address anywhere I could use to add my voice to anyone that has asked for it already?

Thanks again

Re: How to enable Plus addresses in BTInternet

I suspect you are in a minority of one asking for it. As BT seem to have great difficulty operating an email system as it is, the chances of them implementing any requests are nil. BT email isn't even available to new customers, so you can guess where it is heading.
