Re: IP address blocked
Have you tried switch off your BT hub for about half an hour. When you turn it back on it will hopefully have been issued a new IP address and is connecting to a new BT email server.
However if it is only happening on one device and assuming the other devices you have checked with are using the same broadband connection it must be a device problem rather than a BT problem.
How are you trying to access the BT email account, are you using a web browser (webmail) or using an email client/app?
If you are using an email client/app have you tried using a web browser?
If it's on a web browser have you tried clearing the browsers history and cookies?

Re: IP address blocked
Hi @skinnet1,
Thank you for posting. Are you using a VPN by any chance?
Who is your Broadband provider?
Thanks,
Paddy

Re: IP address blocked
Hi - No VPN - our provider is AcornBroadband.co.uk - they have said it is a BT issue.

Re: IP address blocked
I obviously misread your post when you said you had a problem accessing BT Internet address. I wrongly assumed you were meaning your BT email address
Or perhaps you were meaning that and the problem is accessing your BT email address from a non BT ISP.
It may be that will need to contact the BT Postmaster to see if he can assist.

Re: IP address blocked
It could be that Acorn broadband UK is borrowing some IP Address and hence your IP address maybe getting flagged.
With the exhaustion of IPv4 address providers tend to borrow them when needed from others but not updated records or records not showing the change of use/ownership.

Re: IP address blocked
Hi thank you for reply, am still having problems, my wifi provider (Acorn) who have said
the IP is not on any of the main international blacklists. BT seem to have it blacklisted. They need to white list the IP or change the blacklist database registry they are getting updates from. We have no way of removing this from their blacklist.
We are still getting error code TS-003. I have contacted bt helpdesk by telephone twice and both times this has been sent to Digital Security Team for unblocking but no success and no contact with me to explain why. Any ideas, btw this is a BT premium email address.
Thank you

What do you mean your wifi provider? Do you mean you internet provider and you have a BT Premium email address you are paying for as you either had BTinternet in the past, or indeed just paid for an account?
ALL ISP IP addresses are black/blocklisted by design.
As long as you are using mail.btinternet.com as the mail server, then really it should be fine.
Anyway, get rid of your BT Premium email address and get a non ISP email address like Gmail. It might take 2-3 months to tell everyone and inform your online websites etc - but you'll be better off for it and save money.
